He was predeceased by: his sibling Sondra Flanegin; his nieces, Tammy Dobbins, Angie Hanchett and Shelby Davis; and also Jack Flanegin.
He is survived by: his spouses, Cathy Green and Helen Bombei-Dobbins of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, Dustin of Sigourney, IA, Jesse of Sigourney, IA and Amy Rohde (Chris) of Waukee, IA; his grandchildren, Cedric, Gavin, Sadie, Adelyn and Karsyn; his stepchildren, Matt Bombei (Heather), Heather Anderson (Mike), Mindy Morse (Shane) and Val Montague (Brown); and his siblings, Terry Dobbins (Jackie), Allan Dobbins (Kathy), Rick Dobbins (Dottie), Connie Hanchett (Gary), Pam Wood (Dave) and Nola Sharp (Jim). He is also survived by grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are for Unity Point Health, St. Luke's Foundation for the Hospice unit.
