He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riehl and Clara Riehl; and his siblings, Margie, Bill, Betty, John, Darlene, Mary Lou, Jim and Doug.
He is survived by: his wife Kay (Sutter); his children, Anastasia Riehl (Jennifer) of Toronto, Lance Riehl (Nancy) of Colorado Springs, Natasha Riehl of Cedar Rapids and Karissa Riehl of New York City; his grandchildren, Ezri, Gabe, Manny and Leo Emile; his brother Bob Riehl (Nancy); his siblings-in-law, Georgie Riehl and Bill Kassen; his cousin Frank Riehl; and his grandson Ashton Mauderer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; his wife's extended family; wonderful long-term friends.
