He was predeceased by: his father Heinrich; and his siblings, Michael and Ursula. He is survived by: his sons, Matthias, Andreas of San Francisco and Nikolaus of Portland; and his wife Vera.
Stefan suffered from Parkinson's disease, as well as long-term heart disease.
