She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schurman and Mary Kathryn Schurman (Smith); her husband Lawrence; and her son Benjamin. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Kracht (William Miller) of Fort Madison and David Smith of Cedar Rapids; her grandson Caleab Settles of Burlington; and her siblings, Mary Stovall (Jim), John Schurman (Karol), Richard Schurman Jr. (Rosemary) and Sam Schurman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
