He was predeceased by: his brother Harold Palmquist; and his father-in-law Donald Rimrodt. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Theodore III, Johnson Foster and Holly Foster (Matthew); his grandchildren, James Theodore Johnson, Riley Foster and Mackenzie Foster; his brother Michael; his mother-in-law Vera Rimrodt; his friends, Laney and Maya; and also, Fred, Lee, Barbara, Daniel Rimrodt (Jolene), Karla Crowell (Brad) and Maryann Palmquist. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
