She was predeceased by: her husbands, Francis and Martin; her son Lynn Scott; and her siblings, Margaret, Irene and Robert.
She is survived by: her parents, Elmer Walter and Verna Walter (Mercer); her daughter Louise Gorsch (Leon) of Davis; her stepdaughters, Marta Klavon (Michael) of Cedar Rapids and Marilyn Stone of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Lon Gorsch (Rebecca) of Roscoe, Larry Gorsch (Michelle) of South Lyon, Jayson Scott of Williams and Cara Lynn Scott of Covington; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Klavon and Kate Klavon; her great grandchildren, Talyn, Kelsey, Emily, Jeffrey, Lily and Amy; and her daughter-in-law Cheryll Scott of Covington.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church in Verna's memory.
