Vernon Gericke Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2022, at the age of 93, Vernon Gericke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Postville, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldo Gericke and Ceasil Gericke (Schutte); his siblings, LaMont and Marlene; and his niece Lynda.

He is survived by: his wife Marty Miller of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Sue Rogers (Steven) of Danville and Karen Bainter (Lynn) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Michael, Scot, Courtney (James) and Allison; his stepgranddaughters, Jessica (Chris) and Tammie (Tim); his great grandchildren, Zoey, Jaxon and Ember; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kate, Ethan and Liam; his niece Laurel (Dean); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aaron, Stephanie, Jackson, Preston, Hudson, Seth, Beth, Emily, Olivia, Langston and Arica; and also Dawson.

Memorials may be made in Vernon's name to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids.
