Viola Marie Vaupel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Marie Vaupel (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), born in Vinton, Iowa, who passed away on September 12, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Walter and Blanche Walter (Kearns); her husband Albert Vaupel; her children, Gary Vaupel and Sue Hollenbeck; and her siblings, Carroll Walter, Donna Abernathy and Doris Perry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Kusel of Brooklyn and Patty Anderson (Jim) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her son-in-law Arlan Hollenbeck (Sue) of Vinton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID 19 concerns, private family funeral services will be held, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
