He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Janecek and Emily Janecek (Pospisil); and his siblings, Jerry Jr., Charles Janecek, Frances Heater and Anna Teffer.

He is survived by: his siblings, Marie Krueger of Marion and Louis Janecek of Shellsburg; and his siblings' children, Lora Schultz, Doug Folkers, Nancy Hughes, Terry Folkers, Pam Barber and Susan Barton.
