He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawrence and Bertha Lawrence (Hawkins); and his children, Perry Lawrence (Marina) of Cedar Rapids, Jerry Lawrence of Des Moines and Jill Lawrence (Donald Quijano) of Des Moines.
He is survived by: his spouse Vivian Blackburn; his grandchildren, Nathan Lawrence, Holly Hines-Thayer, Lindsey Hines, Alexander Kruse and Abigail Kruse; and his siblings, Betty Lawrence of Belle Plane and Kenneth Lawrence of Tama.
