He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ellis and Hazel Ellis (Reinberg); and his stepson Eveard Hartson. He is survived by: his daughter Marie Ellis of Cedar Rapids; and his grandchildren, Chris Mooney (Pat) of Cedar Rapids, Sue Ellis (Mel) and Judy Willman (Craig). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
