It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William McGuire of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on December 6, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McGuire and Edna McGuire (Roth); his wife Dorothy McGuire; and his granddaughter Meagan Swanson. He is survived by: his children, Anne Davis (Ray) of Iowa City, David McGuire (Darcy L.) of Cedar Rapids, Mary Swanson (Paul) of Cedar Rapids and Joan Ledesma of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Jennifer (David), Jamie (Rachel), Kailey (Eric), Kara, Jared (Kodi), Joshua and Jacob; and his great grandchild Malikai.
All invited guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or Last Hope Animal Rescue in Bill's honor.
