It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Fitz of Cedar, Iowa, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 15, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his adoptive parents, Lewis Fitz and Alberta Fitz (Young); his former life partner Wanda Ward; his wife Jean Cordes Chester; and his children, Dennis Fitz (Linda), Deann Zenor (Dan), Denise Feltes (Ron) and Debra Galvin (Tom). He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to El Kahir Shrine.
