She was predeceased by : her parents, S. E. Carey and L. Irene Carey (Skinner); her husband Richard Carey; her brother D. Duane Carey (Barbara); and her niece Sue Ann Burrell.

She is survived by : her sister Sharon Heien; and her nieces and nephews, Mark A. Heien (Yuki), Jerry Carey (Kari), Terry Edwards (Alan), Diane Quinn (David) and Stacie Sheets (Tim).
