He is survived by : his children, Jill Johnson of Melcher Dallas, Staci Veach (Jeremy) of Centerville and AJ Hook (Sonja) of Ankeny, Iowa; his pets, Herky and Barkley; his stepdaughter Cheryl Ackerman (Billy) of Chicago, Illinois; his stepfather Harold Wright of Knoxville, Iowa; his grandchildren, Matthew (Taryn), Marcus, Kole, Corder, Cora, Avery, Chase, Ryker, Megan, Ragen, Priscilla and Daphne; and his siblings, Sally Proctor (Mike) of Urbandale, Bette Cunningham (Mike) of Knoxville, Rita Elliott (Howard) of Melbourne and William "Bill" Hook (Lyn) of Coralville, Iowa. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
