It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol A. Owens (Chariton, Iowa), who passed away on May 6, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Peter Guddendorf, Jr. and Hazel Irene Guddendorf (Tinkle); her husband Verlan Owens; and her sister Linda Kriegel. She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Owens (Claudia) of Chariton and James Owens (Melissa) of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Jamison, Clayton Owens of Chariton and Blake Owens of Grinnell; her sister Marcella Moyer of Grinnell; and her sister-in-law Helen Kloppenborg of Juneau.
