She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Stansbery and Lucy Stansbery (Patterson); her husband Don; her sons, Bruce and Kevin; and her siblings, Glen Stansbery, Daryl Stansbery, Clifford Stansbery, Marjorie Bingham, Gerald Stansbery, Keith Stansbery, Janet Cottrell, Audrey McKnight, Beverly Westfall, Carolyn Stansbery, Marilyn Snodgrass and Dick Stansbery.
She is survived by: her sister Lucille Young; her grandsons, Curran Kingsbury and Ryan Kingsbury; her great grandchild Skyelar Kingsbury; her siblings-in-law, Karen Stansbery, Marvin Cottrell and Don Snodgrass; and her daughter-in-law Melissa (Kim). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (205 S Grand St, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Joan requested that memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Chariton.
