He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahlon Laing and Carol Laing. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn J Curtis; his children, Dennis (Carla), Shelley (Scott) and Curtis (Shelly); and his grandchildren, Brooke, John Laing (Dennis) and McKenna Finneman (Shelley). He is also survived by three sisters (2 brother in laws), 1 brother (1 sister in law), and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be direct to Chariton Senior Center, Courthouse Clock Restoration Fund, and First United Methodist Church.
