Donn Schafer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2020, at the age of 74, Donn Schafer of Charles City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Frances (O'Brien) and Ivan Doyle Schafer; and his brother Gary Schafer. He is survived by : his wife Cherie; his sons, Andrew (Jennifer) of Ankeny and Matthew (Jennifer) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Noah Schafer of Ankeny, Adam Schafer of Ankeny, Allison Schafer of Ankeny, Leah Schafer of Ankeny and Sarah Schafer of Ankeny; his siblings, Phillip Schafer (Kathy), James Schafer (Linda) and Joan Gordon (Don); and his sister-in-law Chris Jellum (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and to please wear a face covering.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City and/or the Salvation Army Kettle Fund at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
