She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurits Mikkelsen and Anne Mikkelsen (Jorgensen); her husband Paul Hartwell; and her siblings, Carrie Peters, George Mikkelsen, Leland Mikkelsen, Lillian Ell, Florence Mikkelsen and Tess McMenimen.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Kolb of Mason City. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews; four step-children and step-grandchildren; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Family suggests memorial contributions to the American Alzheimer's Association.
