It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ardythe Irene Dunn of Cherokee, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 97, on March 27, 2024. She was predeceased by : her husband Jim; her children, Mary Elizabeth and Mark; her grandchildren, Douglas Swanson and Kari Meylor; and her brother Duane Schaller (Ann).

She is survived by : her children, Diane Swanson (Gary) of Sioux City, IA, Jim Dunn (Karen) of Laramie, WY and Debi Meylor (Cliff) of Okoboji; her grandchildren, Jeff, Jon, Justin Swanson, Clint, William Dunn, Jade Meylor, Molly Meylor-Scott, Brent Dunn, Alissa Dunn-Hammond, Angie Demaree and Amber Shriver; and also Shari Dunn of Cherokee, IA. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter due in July; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and many adoring cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (230 N Roosevelt Ave, Cherokee, IA 51012). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Meriden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for dispersal to Lutheran World Missions.
