It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene M. Gustafson of Cherokee, Iowa, born in Lytton, Iowa, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray A. Haden and Emma Haden (Hinrichs); her son David Scott Gustafson; her brothers, Earl, Dean and Melvin Haden; her parents-in-law, Oscar and Linnea Gustafson; and her niece Sara Gustafson.
She is survived by: her husband Filmore; her children, Cathy Penney (Mark) of Osage, Iowa, Steve Gustafson (Gayle) of Cherokee, Iowa, Ann Larson (Larry) of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Bruce Gustafson (Lynn) of Capitol, Montana and Mary Gustafson (Gayle Scott) of Sioux Falls; her grandchildren, Dan Gustafson (Libby), Matthew Gustafson (Casey), Bradley Gustafson (Cameo), Kent Penney (April), Scott Penney (Hollie), Hallie Larson, Joanna Larson, Haden Scott and Avery Scott; and her great grandchildren, Cole, Lilah, Annabelle Gustafson, Madison, Lincoln, Hudson Gustafson, Hayden, Braidyn Garlow, Harley, Nova Jo Gustafson, Violet, Brek, Dax, Daphne, Duke Penney, Addilyn, Reagan, Amelia and Jack Penney. She is also survived by her husband and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
