He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Haakinson and Helen Haakinson (Murphy); his wife Teresa Ann Helman of Mary's Catholic Church; and his brother Roger Haakinson. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Reimers of Cherokee, Mike Haakinson (Jamie) of Storm Lake, Steve Haakinson (Melanie) of Omaha, Diane Larsen (Kenny) of Rembrandt and Robin Glover of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Dylan Reimers (Liz), Quinn Reimers (Kallie), Caitlin Beastrom (Jacob), Miranda Mark (Justin), Mazie Haakinson, Ian Haakinson, Ella Haakinson, Noah Haakinson, Leah Little (Norman), Joshua Larsen, Layne Scheffler, Alivia Glover, Koen Glover and Kray Glover; his brother David Haakinson of North Carolina; and his sisters-in-law, Annette Bruns of Cherokee, Kathy Binder of Victoria, Vicki Harjes (Dan) of Victoria and Alyce Sipple of Victoria, Texas. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
