She was predeceased by : her parents, Christian Mathisen and Christine Mathisen (Hansen); her husbands, Gayland McCurdy and Rex Burgett; her sister Donna Hunt (Mathisen); and her brother-in-law Raymond Hunt.
She is survived by : her sons, David (Gail) and Steven McCurdy of Clarinda; her sister Carol Little (Mathisen) of Omaha; her brother-in-law Willard Little of Omaha; and her stepgrandchildren, Kara and Roland Cohagen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
After Gayland's death in 1978, she became active as a manager for the senior citizen's meal site, became involved with the local Widowed Person's Group and in the RSVP group in Clarinda.
