She was predeceased by : her parents, Merrill Malone and Marline Malone; and her sisters, Inez Quinn and Twyla Cromer (Bud). She is survived by : her husband Fred Baze of Clarinda, IA; her children, Pam Honken (Dan) of Valley Falls, KS, Patty Miles (Cameron) of Marengo, IA, Derek Baze (Renee) of Kansas City, KS and Jenny Bickel (Bart) of Omaha, NE.; her grandchildren, Alina Taylor (Corey), Krista Honken, Ashley Long (Heath), Emily Miles and Dalton "D. J."; her great grandchildren, Jessica and Graelyn; and her brothers, Dean Malone (Maggie) of Chariton, IA and Max Malone of Indianola, IA..

Instead, those wishing to honor Fern's memory, may make a donation to Jefferson County Kansas Friends of Hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, KS 66066.
