It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rae Ann Mellencamp of Clarinda, Iowa, who passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ann Heumphreus (Wilburn) and Ray Heumphreus; her mother-in-law Lucille Mellencamp; her son Jason Darrell Mellencamp; her parents-in-law, Warren Mellencamp and Margaret Kirkland; and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Mellencamp (Saville).

She is survived by : her pet Sadie; her husband Darrell Mellencamp; her children, Shelly Mellencamp and Scott Mellencamp (Micaela); her grandchildren, Bailey Bloss (Dalton), Will Mellencamp, Jason Dow, Jacob Dow (Faith Adkins), Jana Dow, Lane Mellencamp, Decker Mellencamp and Denton Mellencamp; her great grandchild Bailea Bloss; and also, Cub Scout and Legion Auxiliary. She is also survived by nieces; nephews and many friends.
