He was predeceased by : his sister-in-law Floyd; his grandchild Steve; his wife Audrey "Maxine" Riden; his parents, Howard Riden and Mary Riden; his brothers, Leslie Riden (Otis) and Floyd Riden; his brother-in-law Robert Schmidt (Donna); and his nephew Dean Riden.

He is survived by : his children, Marcedes Gallagher (Craig) of Iowa Falls, Darlene Lacher of New Ulm, Keith Riden (Sandi Waite) of Ankeny and Jeanine Yeager (Dan) of Iowa City; his niece Brenda Babcock (David); his sisters-in-law, Margaret and Donna; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Murra, Melissa Reiter (Patrick), Melanie Bushard, Bridgett Corona (Steve), Dustin Riden (Meghan), Hanna Yeager and Hillary Yeager.
