He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Martin and Barbara Genevieve Martin (Miller); his wife Maxine (Izzy); his son Tom Martin; his great grandchild Lily Goodell; and his siblings, Maxine Doughtery, Carroll "Bud" and Jack Martin.
He is survived by : his children, Tommee, Susee, Sue Courts (Mike) of Cedar Falls, Cindee Nelson (Craig) of Terril, Sallee Martin of Monticello, Sandee "Sam" Clark (Tom) of Clarksville, Tonee Martin (Janelle) of Winter and Darla; his sister Tudy Fulconer of Belmond; and also, Susan Kaduce (Terry) of Klemme, Patricia Gilles (Patrick) of Lincoln, Mary Kaduce (Verlyn) of Garner, Connie Walker (Robert) of Mason City and Jane Bruhn Follett of Clear Lake. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
