She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Ruroden and Ula Ruroden (Howard); her siblings, Wayne "Butch", Duane "Sonny" Ruroden, Elaine Voss and Lorraine Pape; her siblings-in-law, Dean Peyton, Dean Pape, Helen Ruroden and Jane Miene; and her nephews, Jason Peyton, Mark Meyer, Brett Fonley and Kevin Fonley.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Kohls of Clermont; her son Kyle Kohls (Megan) of Decorah; her grandchildren, Everett, Easton and Jaelynn; and her sister Dorene Peyton of Calmar.
