He is survived by: his parent Edward; his wife Mary; his children, Susan Walter of Overland Park, Sarah Shoup (Tom) of Atlanta, David (Jill) of Cherokee, Grand, Adam (Julie), Juston (Nicolle), Ian Prout, Katie Prout, Jared Walter, Rachel Walter, Thomas Shoup Atlanta and Anna Shoup Atlanta; and his sisters, Sheryl Fastenow (Jerry) of Spirit Lake and Valerie Carlson (Larry) of Cherokee.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Foundation, American Heart Association or EveryStep Kavanagh House.
