It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Raymond Hopkins (Colfax, Iowa), who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hopkins and Mary Hopkins (Gazetti); his son-in-law Brian Stout; and his siblings, Nancy Hopkins, David Hopkins and Randy Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Lee Hopkins; his children, John Hopkins (Becky), Salina Stout, Josh Hopkins, Adam Hopkins (Tiana), Dani Jefferson (Keith) and Tony Hopkins; his grandchildren, Alexandrya Strand (Preston), Dom Hopkins, Jo Hopkins, Tiffanie Stout, Clark Stout, Crissy Stout, Lex Stout, Raquel Hopkins, EJ Hopkins, Devion Jefferson, Isayah Jefferson and Serenity Jefferson; his great grandchild Marlowe Strand; and his siblings, Bill Hopkins (Ruth) and Deb Dunsbergen (Gary).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Colfax First Baptist Church (12 E Washington St, Colfax, IA 50054).
