It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas R. Phelan (Colfax, Iowa), who passed away on January 17, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Mickle and Dr. John D. Phelan; and his siblings, Mary Kathleen, Joe, John and Betty Clarke.

He is survived by: his sibling's children, Mary Newton (Dan), Nancy Phelan (Brian McLaughlin), Maureen Clarke, Patrick Clarke, Sheila Breese and Eileen Maple (Jeff).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Colfax Historical Society.
