He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Paul Galvan and Irene Galvan Chia; and his siblings, Rachel and Phillip. He is survived by: his sister Andrea Torres of Des Moines; his nieces, Amanda Muñoz and Maria Torres; his nephew Felipe Torres; his close friend Jerry Couch of Muscatine; his son Jared Galvan (Daniella Hill); and also, Michelle Fisher (Jesus Medina), Michael Fisher (Stephanie), Savana Mabrier and Jaquelyn Lopez. He is also survived by several grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
