He was predeceased by: his parents, Reid Buffington and Lula Buffington (Hill); and his siblings, Judy Wise, Carolyn Weilbrenner, Alan Buffington, Harold "Benny" Buffington and Daryl Buffington.
He is survived by: his wife Carol White (Owens) of Columbus Junction; his stepchildren, Diane Sulentich (Tony) of Columbus Junction, Steven White of Texas, Gary, Delaine Clark (Charles) of Letts and Janet Buffington (Keith) of Mt. Pleasant; and his siblings, Les Buffington (Pat), Keith Buffington (Linda), Mildred Van Acker (Dean) and Virginia Barrick. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
