It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Utter of Columbus Junction, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 97, on November 18, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph C. Utter and Frances Clare Utter (Estle); his son Thomas; his daughter-in-law Janet Utter; his granddaughters, Carrie Len Finke and Misty Long; his great great grandchild Ava Roness; and his sisters, Elizabeth Eberlein, Mary Hafner and Jean Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hesseltine of Columbus Junction; and his children, Robert Utter (Nance) of Columbus Junction, Janine Utter (Bill) of Columbus Junction, Jim Utter (Marquita) of Des Moines and Julie Beuter (Ted) of Center Point. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 a Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church or Gideons in memory of Richard.
