He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Sylvester Eckerman and Mamie Eckerman (Taylor); his wife Helen Landgraf; his children, Rick Eckerman (Mary) of Conrad, Mark Eckerman of Grinnell and Paula Benson (Mike) of Conrad; his grandchildren, Laura Harrod (Jeremy), Nick Eckerman, Andrea Benson, Joel Benson (Morgan), Breanne Benson, Kayla Powell (Arnell), Sara Barr (Travis), Tanner Eckerman and Jonathan Eckerman; his siblings, Jerry Eckerman and Karen Tye; his grandson Matthew Paul Eckerman; and his brothers, Robert, Keith and Dean Eckerman. He was also cherished by three great grandchildren.
