He is survived by : his girlfriend Ann Engstrom of Coralville, IA; his father Don Goodwin of Washington, IA; his sister Marissa Tallington (Grady) of Frederick, MD; his nieces and nephews, Jacob, Jhaida, Andrey, Audriana, Abigail and Avarie Tallington; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Asher, Nailah and Drazik; his aunt Diana Henry of Washington, IA; and his uncles, David Goodwin of Washington, IA and Rick Farrier (Martha) of Coralville, IA.

A memorial has been established for the Iowa City American Legion Post 17.
