She was predeceased by: her parents, R. E. Lee "Fox" and Edna Aldrich (Bohning); her granddaughter Margaret Grace "Molly" Rietz; and her husband Roger Rietz. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Rietz (Karen) and Sarah Aldrich-Rietz; her granddaughters, Leah Rietz of Iowa City and Linnea Rietz of Iowa City; and her brothers, Jerry Aldrich and Lee Aldrich. She is also survived by numerous cousins, other family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances, Joan's family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to the Rowan Public Library.
