With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nathan Allen Poisel of Coralville, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sibling's children, Brandon Kantaphone-Poisel and Olivia Lou Vahle; his close friend Alan Goldstein; and his pet Libra. He is survived by: his parents, Laura Poisel and Joe Poisel; his stepmother Diane Poisel; his siblings, Aaron Poisel, Sarah Poisel, Emily Underwood (Adam), Natalie Vahle (David) and Jimiya Smith (David); his siblings' children, Jordan Poisel, Azaria Smith, Athena Smith, Avery Underwood, Elias Leeney, Mason Underwood, Hayden Cline and Oliver Vahle; his friend Eric Hoelzen; his dachshund Luka; and his pet Mad-Eye.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service (605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery (1000 Brown St, Iowa City, IA 52245).
