With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Patricia Ann Van Soelen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Patricia Ann left this world on November 16, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas R. Carritt and Janyce Carritt (Perry); her husband Don; her son-in-law Al Stueve; and her brother-in-law George Glasier.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Parsons (Kirk) of Persia, IA, Paula Stueve of Logan, IA, Dave Van Soelen of Logan, IA, Peg Moore (Nick) of Council Bluffs and Tom Van Soelen (Michelle) of Council Bluffs; her grandchildren, Seth Parsons (Michelle), Colin Parsons, Derek Parsons (Brooke), Aaron Parsons (Paige), Jacob Stueve (Ally), Rachel Wilson (Brady), Joshua Stueve, Nick Van Soelen, Will Van Soelen (Lauren), Ben Van Soelen, Caleb Moore, Hannah Moore, Kailyn Kennett (Alex), Audrey Van Soelen and Olivia Van Soelen; her great grandchildren, JJ Sondag, Daniel Sondag, Eva Parsons, Reese Parsons, Wyatt Parsons, Raylyn Parsons, Taylor Stueve and Parker Kennett; and her sister Sally Glasier of Mill Bay, Canada. She is also survived by friends who were like her extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Community of Christ Church (140 W Kanesville Blvd, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Ia Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Community of Christ Church or Iowa School for the Deaf.
