He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlen Bitting and Betty Bitting (Hall); and his nephews, Jamey Briscoe, Jason Bitting and Brian Larson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Myron Bitting (Jeanne) of Simi Valley, CA, Louella Ferguson (Alan) of Newbury Park, CA, David Bitting (Jane) of New London, IA, Lyndle Bitting (Roberta) of Keokuk, IA, Mark Bitting (Sharla) of Ft. Madison, IA and Debra Cooper (Ken Dehon) of Ft. Myers, FL. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
