With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David A. Waigand of Thayer, Iowa, born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on October 15, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parent Adam Westphal; his daughter Susan Waigand; his sister Judy Waigand; and his parents-in-law, Francis and Virginia Wagner.

He is survived by : his brother Phil; his wife Helen Waigand of Thayer; his children, Michael Waigand (Stephanie) of Allen, Amy Waigand (Scott Dullard) of Adel, Tony Waigand (Elizabeth) of Creston and Katie Waigand of Littleton, Colo.; his brother Philip Waigand (Sharon) of Thayer; his grandchildren, Rance, Alexa, Ethan Waigand, Courtney, Brodrick Phelps and Hannah Joy; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lonsdale (Jim) of Stuart, Regina James (Steve) of Stuart, Betty Norman (Dan) of Salina, Kan and Patty Bradley (Phil) of Afton. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
