He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Hoffman and Esta Brown Hoffman; his wife Pamela Boyle; his brothers, Richard Hoffman and Kenny Hoffman; and his grandson Jaxton Hoffman.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Hoffman-Koettel (Jamie) of Fairfield, IA and Melissa Hoffman of Quincy, IL; his grandchildren, Allison Hoffman, Jamiya Hoffman, Jashaud Williams, Jeremy Williams and Jakiyan Hoffman; and his sisters, Judy Douglas, Karen Vineyard and Gloria Miles.
