He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Cluney and Blanche Cluney (Heller); his daughter Kathy Caldwell; and his brothers, Harley, Harold, LeRoy and Lloyd.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Cluney; his children, Richard Cluney Jr., Sharon Wyett (Richard), Danville and Jeannette Butts (Cluney) of West Burlington; his grandchildren, Trisha, Erick Cluney, Sean Wyett (Danielle), Kari Wyett, Chad Caldwell and Quinton Smothers; and his siblings, Eugene, Paul and Leona Pitts. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
