It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Stender (Davenport, Iowa), born in Cabool, Missouri, who passed away on November 17, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis McGehee and Thelma McGehee (McBride); and her siblings, Joyce, Bob, Lillie, Zelda, Doyle and Dwane.
She is survived by : her husband John Stender; her children, Rickie Tutor, Kevin Tutor, Carla Heim, Blue Grass and Brad Stender; her grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Meranda, Melissa and Andrea; her great grandchildren, Colton, Dexter and Kaylee; her sisters, Jeni Braun and Joan Carter; and her adoptive son Gustafson Bartholomew McGillicutty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County, Davenport, in honor of Betty's love of animals.
