He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ehlers and Mamie Ehlers; his sister Verla Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Brown and Joseph Neal Sawyer Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ehlers; and his sister Katherine Sawyer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (2136 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52803).
