He was predeceased by: his parents, Porfirio "Porky" and Amelia "Millie" Ruiz (Flores); his siblings, Dan Ruiz and Linda; his brother-in-law Dennis Reynolds; his goddaughter Arrica Belman; and his nephew-in-law Malone.
He is survived by: his former spouse Kendie Thurness; his son Kyle (Ana); his grandchildren, Amadeus, Enrique and Apollo; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Ruiz of Rock Island, Nancy Bribriesco of Rock Island, Vickie Belman (Art) of Davenport, Moline of Davenport, Valerie Ruiz of Davenport, Deb Ruiz of Davenport and Wendy Brandt (Steve) of Davenport.
Don's generous giving spirit will live on through organ donation.
