It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Schmitz in Medina, Ohio, born in Masury, Ohio, who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Leo Franklin Schmitz; and her son Peter. She is survived by : her children, Melinda Schmitz (Doug Daniele), Mary Kathryn Tarnish Davenport (David Kinkaid), Kristine Peacock Davenport (Paul), James LaSalle (Theresa), Jeffery (Diane), Michael, Stephen, Columbus and John (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Dana, Jeff, James, Stephan, Zach, Nick, Stacy, Jenni, Jessica, Ben, Deborah, Rebecca, Stephanie, Jinn, Brian, Thomas, Colin, Garrett, Wyatt and Kayleigh. She is also survived by 2 sisters, many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Because of Covid restrictions the family is planning a Memorial service for Mary on her would be 102 birthday in September 2021.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials can be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice or Christ the King Church.
