He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Gilligan and Rita Gilligan; and his grandson Maurice J. Scardino. He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Gilligan; his children, Maurice Scardino (Kasey) and Jessie Bell (Jason); his grandchildren, Mason, Jason Jr., Jake, Abagail, Danny and Zack; his brothers, Mark Gilligan (Mary Ann) and Paul Gilligan; and his siblings' child Damion Gilligan.
