He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbert Harrington and Callie Harrington (Bates); and his siblings, Wilbert Harrington, Jr., Bobbie Harrington, Peggy Rucker and Jane Johnson.

He is survived by : his child Shevivia Terez Clay; his grandchildren, Maoz, Sophia, Katelynn, Joseph Jr., Zoie and Gabriel; and his siblings, Willie Harrington (Louise Grady), Martha Pierre (Demettris Byrd), Dr. Nancy Flowers, Beatrice Houston (Roy) and Sally West (Gary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 16th 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Halligan McCabe Devries Funeral Home (614 N Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 16th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
